I live with my wife, Harriet, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Messiah College in 1968, taught high school for two years in Zambia, pursued graduate work at Penn State University, and taught high school math another two years in Pennsylvania before beginning a career in information technology. We have two children, Dana (married to Nestaly Espinosa) and Derek (engaged to Katie Armbrust), and two wonderful grandchildren, Alecia and Justis.

I’ve been retired since July 1, 2008. I enjoy hiking, birding, photography, playing recorders with friends, writing poetry, and volunteering at the following:
